Francis Bacon was born in 1561 in London. He became a lawyer and statesman. He rose to Lord Chancellor of England. Later he fell for taking bribes. He died in 1626. He lived in late Elizabethan and Jacobean ages.
He loved science and reason. He wanted men to learn from nature. His essays teach worldly wisdom. Six essays are in your syllabus.

Bacon writes in aphoristic style. Aphorism means a short wise saying. His lines are brief and heavy. Each line holds deep thought. Readers must chew every word.
He uses lists, contrasts and Latin quotes. He starts with a maxim. Then he explains with examples. His tone is cold and practical. Learn one maxim per essay.
বেকন aphoristic স্টাইলে লেখেন। অর্থাৎ ছোট জ্ঞানী উক্তি। প্রতি লাইন গভীর ভাবনা ধরে। তিনি তালিকা, বৈপরীত্য ও ল্যাটিন উদ্ধৃতি ব্যবহার করেন। পরীক্ষায় প্রতি প্রবন্ধের একটা maxim শেখো।
Your syllabus has six essays. Of Truth praises truth above lies. Of Marriage weighs single vs married life. Of Plantation guides colonies. Of Great Place warns high officers. Of Revenge condemns private revenge. Of Love shows folly of passion.
For author questions, name all six briefly. Then focus on the asked essay only.
সিলেবাসে ছয়টি প্রবন্ধ আছে। Of Truth সত্যকে বড় করে। Of Marriage অবিবাহিত বনাম বিবাহিত তোলে। Of Revenge ব্যক্তিগত প্রতিশোধ নিষেধ করে। Of Love আবেগের বোকামি দেখায়। জিজ্ঞাসিত প্রবন্ধে মন দাও।
For Part-B (4 marks), write intro, 4 points and conclusion. Use 300-350 words. Best points are life, style, asked essay, and moral. For Part-C (10 marks), use 900+ words. Add all essays and maxims.
Must-use terms are aphorism, maxim and worldly wisdom. Explain each simply. Quote one maxim always.
Part-B (৪ নম্বর) এর জন্য ভূমিকা, ৪ পয়েন্ট ও উপসংহার লেখো। Part-C (১০ নম্বর) এর জন্য সব প্রবন্ধ যোগ করো। একটা maxim অবশ্যই উদ্ধৃত করো।
"Studies serve for delight, for ornament, and for ability."
Studies give joy, grace and skill. Three words hold all learning. Delight is private joy. Ornament is social grace. Ability is practical power.
Use this in Bacon style questions. It proves terse wisdom.
